The questions people ask before they call.
Cost, confidentiality, and what actually happens next. If your question is not answered here, ask it directly — the first 30 minutes are free.
Your first 30 minutes are free. Every conversation is privileged and completely confidential.
— Working with GSG
Before you call.
Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The first 30 minutes are free, with no obligation to retain us afterwards. It is a genuine conversation about your situation and whether we are the right firm for it, not a sales call.
Is what I tell you confidential, even before I hire you?
Yes. Communications made to obtain legal advice are privileged, and that protection applies from the first conversation. Contacting us does not by itself create a solicitor-client relationship, which only begins once we have completed a conflicts check and agreed to act for you.
Which lawyer will I speak to?
You will be matched to the lawyer who handles your area. Gursharn Singh Gandham leads corporate and commercial work, Jigar Patel handles civil litigation, Aaron Sidhu handles family law, and Aalam Baga handles criminal defence. Where a matter crosses areas, the rest of the firm is down the hall.
Where is your office, and what are your hours?
We are at 206 - 6625 152A St, Surrey, BC V3S 0B3. The office is open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. If your matter is urgent outside those hours, call (778) 262-2835 and leave a message.
Do you act for clients outside Surrey?
Yes. We act for clients throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, including Langley, Delta, White Rock, Burnaby, Coquitlam, and Vancouver, and more broadly across British Columbia.
What should I have ready for the first conversation?
Nothing formal is required. If you have documents that define the problem -- a contract, a court form, correspondence, a notice, or a deadline -- having them to hand makes the 30 minutes considerably more useful. If you have nothing, call anyway.
How do I get started?
Call (778) 262-2835, or send a confidential inquiry through the contact form. Every inquiry is reviewed personally.
— By practice area
